Pantai Pandan is a gorgeous sandy beach about 600 metres long, with rocky outcrops at each end. The sea is generally calm and clear. People do swim here and, according to the owner of the small eatery, there are no crocodiles at this beach.


Kampung Pandan is a tiny, sleepy village with minimal facilities but it does have a convenience store, a beachfront car park, a few food and drink kiosks, a very basic café, toilets, one or two simple homestays and a 2 star villa hotel.

terrace at the eateryA cosy simple beachfront eatery. As it was midweek and the beach was deserted the owner apologised for only having instant cup noodles to eat, but she did have fresh coconuts.
food kiosks next the car parkThere are some food and drink kiosks next to the car park. These were closed during our midweek visit - probably only open at weekends and holidays. The overflowing rubbish bins should be emptied more often if they want to keep the beach clean.

How To Get to Pantai Pandan

Pantai Pandan is 100km from Kuching waterfront and, by car, the journey takes one and a half to two hours via Lundu depending on traffic conditions.
